AntiSec hacker group claims that the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has been spying on the users of Apple gadgets.This was revealed after they managed to steal data from your laptop one FBI agent.
By leveraging the existing loopholes in Java components,the group claimed that hackers managed to break into the laptop Christopher Stangl,one of the FBI agents.
The hackers also managed to steal some
data,but they admitted quite surprised to find on a laptop,there are also millions of data Apple Device Unique Identifiers (UDID).
UDID is a unique series of numbers that represent each iOS device.This code is used by developers to track what applications are installed on the device.
According to AntiSec,there are 12,367,232 UDID in the laptop is an FBI agent.In it contains some additional user information such as user names,phone numbers and addresses.This group also believes that data is used to track a specific user.
To prove this,showing 1 million UDID AntiSec they released on the website Pastebin.As quoted from TGDaily, Wednesday (09/04/2012).
UDID information is usually already available for iOS application developers.However,private data such as phone numbers and addresses are usually blocked.
While quoted from AppleInsider,Apple has recently taken steps to block access to the UDID applications due to privacy concerns of both consumers and the government.In August 2011 the company reminded the developers that Apple will finish UDID with iOS 5.
